I like to think of these favorites the sprinkles on my Fall sundae! They’re not always heavy hitters like apple picking or pumpkin carving (although a Meg Ryan movie marathon is my Fall Super Bowl). Instead, they’re small things you can add into each day that make Fall feel like it’s all around you. A few pages of a cozy Fall read, an episode of Gilmore Girls while you make soup. They’re not as impactful as a pumpkin candle or a hayride but when you add them together throughout the day give you that sigh of Fall relief. So let’s check out some of my favorites together! Oh, and you can download the entire list FOR FREE right here!
What’s On My Fall Bucket List?
I try not to overcrowd my bucket list with big items. This year, we’ll be apple picking, visiting the pumpkin patch, taking a trip to Salem, going on a leaf-peeping day trip to Vermont, and maybe popping down to Sleepy Hollow at some point later in October.
Ok, writing it out feels like a lot but it’s about one activity every two weeks for September and October! I think that’s a perfect cadence for Fall activities for our family right now. We’ll make memories without being too overwhelmed.
There are some new things I want to add to my fall bucket list as well. I want to learn to make the new Pumpkin Cold Foam Chai at home. I’ve started sewing a Fall quilt that I surely won’t finish until at least Thanksgiving. I also want to create a Make Your Own Caramel Apple Slices bar.
In books, I’m starting the Shady Hollow mystery series. It’s a cozy mystery with animals which seems perfect for Fall. I also have The City Baker’s Guide to Country Living and a million witchy books in my TBR pile! I also want to watch Knives Out and Only Murders in the Building. I know some people love new movies and TV shows but I’m a rewatcher, so this is a pretty big deal in our house!
Classic Autumn Bucket List Favorites
As much as I love adding new traditions to my autumn bucket list, there are some things I just can’t skip. In TV, I usually rewatch Gilmore Girls every other year and this year is a Gilmore Girls year!
I actually may watch You’ve Got Mail this evening. I also usually watch Matilda, Dead Poet’s Society, The Goonies, and Jumanji every year. When Harry Met Sally is more of a Thanksgiving movie for me so I save it for later in November!
Classic Fall food and drinks are a must to create a well rounded Fall experience. I usually do soup for lunch starting in mid-September, chili at least once a week, pumpkin cinnamon rolls on the first day of Fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving, and after we go apple picking I bake one of everything apple until the apples are gone!
All of these pair perfectly with a cozy Fall playlist and a good book. My favorite Fall re-reads are Jane Eyre or an Agatha Christie mystery!
This definitely isn’t everything I enjoy in the Fall but it’s a good list of my Fall Favorites to begin! Download the Fall Favorites list for Notion if you haven’t already! I’ll be sharing all of my Fall Favorites on my TikTok throughout the next few weeks! Happy Fall!
